So who's going to win the conference tournament this year and why? IMO FAU is obviously the favorite - best team throughout the season, best record, etc., etc., but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see UNT or UAB win it. I would be very surprised if FAU, UNT, or UAB doesn't win it.

My homer pick is UAB of course, but in all honesty I do think we are playing our best basketball of the season, have won 10 out of 11, have everyone healthy, have now been tested in a variety of scenarios and won in a variety of ways, and are coming off two tough road wins to harden us going into the conference tournament. We've beaten FAU, and I like our chances against UNT in a rematch. Our losses on the road to FAU and UNT were both super close. The home loss to UNT I basically throw out bc we were expecting to have Jelly, he was held out at the last second, and you could tell that deflated the team further during a stretch of really bad play.

UNT and FAU have had really good seasons. I hope the conference gets two teams in the big dance. I think FAU is definitely an at large team, barring a blow out loss to a bad team in their first game.
