Interestingly, Ross-less WMU beat Akron today, behind the break-out performance by Hannah Spitzley who had 25 points and 7 steals. She's been a glue player her career thus far, so that scoring output was unexpected and maybe gives WMU some life the rest of the season. UT had offered Spitzley out of HS, but she picked WMU for some reason.

MAC is clearly a 3 team race now, and UT's bad loss to NIU really hurt. BG had their scare against Akron (trailing by 14 late in the 3rd) but survived. Ball State had a tough one against WMU earlier, but it wasn't really a bad scare, as they never fell behind much really. Hard to imagine who can beat either of them the rest of the way. UT likely has to win out, and hope BSU beats BG again to win the regular season. That's not gonna be easy.

Noting it's a 3 team race means we can't lose to BSU, because they are the ones with a tie breaker over BG. The worse scenario would be Ball State 1, and us with BG at 2 and 3.

We want to be a 2 or 3 seed with BG the 1, or be the 1 with BG the 2 or 3. Stay away from the Sh!thirds until the final.
