Big win for the MAC, as NIU beats DePaul 86-79, at DeKalb. DePaul has an all-American on their squad, and were picked to finish 4th in the Big East.
Koker is clearly back to 100% as she scored 24, Davis added 20 and Poisson 16. DePaul dominated the boards 40-29, but NIU made 13 threes.

On the other end of the spectrum, CMU loses to Oakland 70-61, making Oakland 2-0 against the MAC.
Watched some of this and Oakland is not a good team, but CMU has decided to just throw their 3 true FR on the court and let them just figure it out. They have some clear talent, especially Sydney Harris, but they really don't have any team flow yet. They committed 22 turnovers, shot 26% from three and committed 31 fouls. The two teams combined missed 26 FT attempts, shooting a combined 54%, and many of them weren't close. Maybe CMU will improve as the FR get more PT, but that's what I said last season and it didn't happen. Of last year's FR class who played huge minutes last season, one has already transferred, and the other 3 got a combined 29 minutes today.
