4) The situation changed when Bill Clark decided to retire, and said he was not coming back to UAB.
5) BV had a wonderful opportunity.

The decision to play their cards was Clark's choice. All Vincent needed was a winning hand. It didn't work out. They are great leaders of young men. This is a great lesson for all of the players and coaches. Keep your options open and don't burn bridges that you might need in the future. Having all of the current and former coaches as mentors is good, however, having those coaches and the next staff of coaches as mentors is better.
