I have great respect for Bryant Vincent, as a person, so I have no desire to disparage his character. But as someone else has already pointed out, if he loves this program as much as it has been repeated, he could easily squash all of this. He could tell the players to stand down, to accept their new coach, and rally around him. He could encourage them to be patient and stick around, and make UAB the program we all want it to be, instead of threatening to transfer. Especially now if he has a pretty good idea that he isn't getting the job--and all indications point to that--if he really loves this program, he should be outspoken that he is confident that the university is moving in the right direction.

As for who will be the next coach, and when we'll find out....
