I think most people just try to use him as a scapegoat or boogeyman to avoid having to really look at ourselves in the mirrors and see our problems and warts for what they really are.

On the surface, he has not been nearly as bad as most people on this board make him out to be.

Back up your accusations with some actual proof.

He isn’t shadowy, nefarious, backstabbing villain. He sucks at his job. He probably thinks he is doing good things but he sucks & is incompetent. The biggest proof is go look at the football schedule for upcoming years. How many P5 teams are coming in to Protective Stadium???? Zero example he sucks at his job.

P5 teams don't want to play us. It's a trap game for them. I don't think that is his fault, that is a testament to the UAB we were post 2017

Well, we wanted to raise our profile. How do you do that? Look at Cincy and UCF. They didn’t get that way by beating 3-9 P5 schools. They got that by beating the best. Taking down top 10 opponents. Cincy taking down a top 5 Notre Dame is what brought respect. Going toe to toe with UGA in the Peach Bowl. UCF taking down a #7 Auburn. That’s how you get respect. Seems that MTSU gained not **** from taking down The U, did it? All they got was a week of jokes. Meanwhile, we could have played Miami this season and lost and had people whine “but Ingram schedules super hard teams :(“

All it seems is that people on this board want us to be like UCF or Memphis or Cincy but they didn’t get there by playing and beating Vandy and Northwestern and Cal.

Edit: don’t forget ODU scalped VaTech. Didn’t move the needle for them one bit
