This is the first time someone has reported that Herman is linked to the job. I think that would be a home run. If it's true the purse strings are opening more that could be an indication we're making a hire like Herman. No need to overpay for the other candidates.

Steven Godfrey on the patreon version of Slit Zone Duo podcast said we swung at Herman but he told us he was out of our league. But at least we are trying for big names, he also said we talked with Dan Mullen but that was no. He, among others right now, say that Fuente is the front runner.

Funny enough, Tom Herman will be the color analyst for our game against La Tech on Saturday on CBSSN.

If it’s true that Herman really said that, that’s a foolish move on his part. Even if it were true, and he felt that way, the number of places that can offer you a D1 job is limited and you are burning bridges for no reason.
