Give me another version of the “Steel Shield” (we’ve had a couple of close copies over the years) and score however much it takes. With this O-line, Deebo, and Skull, it would be malpractice to sling the ball all over the field. I love a dominant “you know what we’re doing now try and stop it” type offense as much as I appreciate scoring +40.

How about getting pumped to see the defense hit the field and blow teams up? It’s fun I promise. It also prevents losing streaks, btw. While you were watching the Dolphins on Sundays I was watching the Titans’ Dean Peas defenses baffle OCs and smash QBs every week.

We've had top 10 defenses over the last few years and we have been held back by a limited offense. This isn't the early 2000s and prior. To win and succeed in college football today you need a modern offense.

Why not good team manager that allows the OC and DC call their part of the game? Let’s have a good offense and a good defense.

Of course we all want to be good on both sides of the ball. The question was, do we want a coach who emphasizes (a modern) offense or defense. I (and judging off attendance, others as well) are tired of an emphasis on defense and running the ball. It doesn’t attract quality recruits on offense, and it gets boring to fans.

UTSA and WKU have great offenses and great defenses. They both have offensive minded HCs, but their defenses are top half of CUSA as well.
