I've been told from a fellow UH alum that Skyline is necessary for the experience.

BTW if you're ever in Houston, I HIGHLY recommend going to a good Bahn Mi place (or Vietnamese food in general). Those Vietnamese sandwiches are so damn good.

I love the food in Houston. You have the best Mexican food in the country. What Vietnamese restaurant woudl you recommend? I love Bahn Mi sandwiches.

If you are inside the loop, a place that is off the beaten path, but excellent and family owned, is Huynh in East Downtown (note: they will either move or close in the future due to freeway rerouting project. Not sure what their future holds)

If you want Bahn Mi's, Roostar and Cali Sandwich are great options. My old go-to closed during covid. :(

Pho: The inside the loop staple is Pho Saigon in midtown.

Note : If you want to go crazy, just head to China/Vietnamese town on the southwest side of town in Belliare. If you want a truly unique food experience, that is the place to go.
