No idea about Kill. The questions do arise in my mind: Why was he available if he is so good? and...
Why did he take this job, widely considered the bottom of the barrel?
Of course, the real test will be can he maintain his success and improve on it.

Kill has had serious health issues. He resigned at Minnesota after suffering seizures during games. He also has cancer (currently in remission). He would almost certainly not want, and probably not be considered for, another high-pressure job at a P5. NMSU is probably a really good fit, low key and low expectations.
