A Conference Champions Tournament. This tournament invites only the conference champions. No matter if the conference has 8 or 18 members. Conference champions and only conference champions (No independents) can participate. If it survived and eventually became as popular as the basketball tournament maybe some of the mega conferences would break up give more of their members a shot at the national title. And perhaps college football could reclaim some semblance of rationality.
So a teams like Kent State and Louisiana would be playing in this tournament while Alabama stays home? That should be a money-maker.
