The P12 needs eyeballs on its product. Shutting the network down doesn't solve this problem. Increasing distribution by implementing step 2 does.

Do we know if the contracts between the Pac-12 Network and providers, such as DISH, Xfinity, Spectrum, etc. are also set to end in 2024? If so, I suppose there isn't a problem with shuttering the six regional networks and keeping the national network alive since they'll be renegotiating with providers at that time anyway. However, if those contracts are not ending in 2024, I would imagine it would be contractually complicated to just shut down the six regional networks.
