A smaller, packed on-campus stadium might be the Jeep to our 75% full Lexus Liberty Bowl.

I think you are factually correct. I think the Liberty Bowl will be nicer than those other stadiums.

Only time will tell whether it will be a better college football venue.

the only thing that makes the central florida stadium a better experience than the LBS is the 10k students jumping up and down and going crazy. that's it. our concrete is better than their aluminum and our concrete walls are much better than their chain link fence. we need to solve why students don't attend the games and we will be fine.

They come for homecoming, so they can show up for the other games too. OCS has little impact on student attendance.

Nobody cares that the stadium is aluminum and not concrete. You sound like the insane Tiger Guard guy.

I have lived in Fort Myers, FL since 2015, and haven't missed a game at UCF/USF since we moved. The gameday experience at UCF is amazing compared to any other venue I have ever been to. The way they incorporate the campus into the gameday experience is great. The Greek life has a HUGE part in their gameday experience. I am not saying the Liberty Bowl won't be far superior, but I guarantee the actual EXPERIENCE will not be anywhere close to comparable. USF has a similar situation in Tampa using the 'Bucs field, but like Memphis, it truly lacks from the experience standpoint. I will definitely miss the regularly scheduled games at UCF, both football and basketball, even if their fans compare in trashiness to those at UTrash.

I believe some Tigers fans are extremely envious of UCF's stadium and deride it simply because of petty jealousy.

The stadium itself is lackluster, but anyone that goes to a game their walks away impressed solely by the atmosphere. The student participation is a huge part of that. They fill up well over 1/4 of the whole stadium, and I truly believe that they get those numbers due to the fact that many of them can walk out of there dorm, walk a 1/4 of a mile, cooler in tow, drinking a bud light, to hang out for hours before game time. they never have to drive, park, etc. The Liberty Bowl will be far superior, but I don't see football ever filling the student section for any conference game outside of a championship. We have had some promising years in basketball, but I don't think the SS at the Forum is filled very often no matter who the opponent is. Not many kids want/cant pay to drive across town, pay to park, then spend 10$ on a coke or $15 on a beer. Memphis has priced it's 2 main athletic programs out of reach from a normal student.
