First, that's his perspective. He is spinning it some way that makes him a victim - it's the name of the game.
Second, he doesn't say "asked to leave". He may lead you there, and you may make that assumption. But he doesn't say it.

This is a business now. The kids wanted to be paid, the kids wanted freedom of movement, the kids wanted to be treated like pros and they got exactly what they wanted. What they did not anticipate is that they are essentially no longer amateurs. And they have coaches with millions of dollars at stake with their own careers and ambitions.

Because of that I have no problem with Penny running his team like it is a business. If kids do not perform up to expectations then they have to go. If kids are a problem in the locker room and disrupt chemistry then they have to go. I have no issue with Penny pushing players out given the current state of "amateur athletics". They wanted all of the good stuff and with that they have to take the bad stuff as well...

Where did I trash the kid - by saying he's playing the victim? And where did I say Penny was completely innocent. Lighten up.

I have no problem with YOUNG MEN - Landers is 22 years old - moving on and doing what they think is best for their careers. Now, depending on where they end up, I might declare them persona non grata (as is the case here).

The funny thing that I do call out is people jumping on his statement like it's the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. But feel free to believe everything a player says as he's leaving.

Read your posts. It is never Penny truly pushing them out. It is always the players demanding playing time or certain promises/assurances and Not getting their way so leave.

Dude I was the one reminding you in the recruiting forum that Penny quit contacting certain players. Of course he changes direction on players - which you and Landers camp might call "pushes out".
I'm just pointing out that you take a tweet and run with it - like it's the ENTIRE story.
I say lighten up because you take a post that said he likely wanted to be the center of the offense, and said I was "trashing the kid".
