Does it not prevent schools from building a fan base at this level though? Few familiar faces or names to cheer for? Or the "wait, wasnt he on Ball state last year, now hes on NIU? Am i remembering this right?" This is becoming a thing.
I've always cheered for the on the front of the jerseys, not back. Even without transfers college rosters would have constant turnover. If you're a school that's consistently losing players to lateral transfers, that school should be doing some self reflection on why are players wanting to leave.
