One downside is they clearly have a clear vision and strong leadership and I fully expect them to make the jump to fbs in the next 2-3 years. Sunbelt would be a reasonable place for them to land for football. I believe their time in the CAA could be short.

I agree they are underrated but you jumped the shark on the jump to FBS so quickly. They are still a school with about 6,000 students. They are still a school averaging 5,000 in attendance.

For comparison sake JMU was averaging over 23k before the pandemic, App State over 23k, Coastal at 15k which is one of the lowest in the Sunbelt. NC A&T is far more likely to make the jump to FBS quickly with a stadium capacity of 21k and averaging 15k. They have a strong fan base that has a large geographic footprint and have almost 12,000 students.
