CAA expansion rumors heating back up with Howard coming on board. IF true, here is where we would stand for full membership at 14

South - CofC, UNCW, Elon, NC A&T, W&M, Hampton, Towson or Howard

North - Towson or Howard, Delaware, Monmouth, Stony Brook, Hofstra, Drexel, Northeastern

If we stay at 14, I would have to believe Howard will be in the South and Towson in the North.

I have heard that the goal was 16 from the start, if that's true the CAA could add a football school and a non football school(in addition to Howard) to get to 16 for the football conference and full membership. If the conference wanted to keep Towson and Howard in the same northern division(both Baltimore/DC area schools), we'd need to add a a southern football school and a southern non football school. I could still see High Point and Campbell coming on board to make that happen if UNCG is off the table, although i'm not convinced UNCG is completely out.

Regardless, if Howard comes on board the CAA will have the top HBCU's in the country in the conference with a huge fan base. This should be attractive to ESPN and other networks, and a decent TV package isn't out of the question.
