No way those two would be in different divisions, and I can't imagine Towson or Howard would rather be in a division with the southern schools over the northern schools. And if both were in the south, the north would need to add two more, moving the CAA even futher north than it already is. Can't see that happening.

Did you hear Mull on that Drexel podcast? He was surprisingly negative to the idea of Campbell to CAA

I'm with him. I've never liked anything about Campbell. Not interested in them being in the CAA. They're a very unrecognizable school, and I don't see how adding them moves the needle in a positive direction for the conference, aside from just adding a random southern school for the sake of division/travel.
I disagree. They are very good at baseball, and have been decent at hoops. Two sports we typically are pretty good at. Could be a good, close rival. Very good school academically. Wouldn't be my first choice, but i certainly wouldn't have your reaction.

I wouldn’t say Campbell is a “very good school academically.” Also, The CAA doesn’t gain anything by going into the Buies Creek market. Middle of nowhere.

Winthrop or High Point make the most sense.

A quick google says otherwise. Plus they have a respected Law School. I never Several UNCW undergrads that went there for law school. It's a solid school.
Look, I'm not beating down Campbell's door, but we could do worse. Would be a nice, close rival that does well in two sports we are good in.
CG- Many of the other schools mentioned, no one from outside NC knows either
