He definitely needs to put it on in the off season.

Because of how young he is it is very likely he does not put on a ton of weight. But a full year of college ball plus a an entire summer of training will still do wonders for him. He could very possibly be 3 to 4 years away from putting on that kind of muscle mass.

This is true. I was skinny in HS and it took me longer than that to become a lean mean fightin’ machine fatten up.

Or consider Jayden. I'm sure Penny had him in the weight room from the word go, but only last summer did the muscle mass get added. Your body adds muscle at its own pace and maturation level.

He is really who I was thinking about in regards to Bates. Jayden was pretty thin as well as a freshman and was 2 years older than Bates. It seems like most guys start being able to fill out in 20-22 year old age range.
