RE: Women's Volleyball vs Charlotte (CUSA Tournament)
Tough loss, especially given how dominant we were in the first set. Give credit to WKU for making the adjustments (as we did after our horrendous 2nd set). The primary difference in this match was WKU's service game, and that goes way beyond their 7 aces to our none. Many other serves put us on our heals defensively and out of our system, and resulted in easy set-ups for WKU. That's reflected in WKU's 16 additional attacks and 7 additional kills, despite we both sported the same .317 hit% for the match. Both teams had the same number of digs, and we had 2 more blocks.

What was with the 7 reception errors (vs. none for WKU)? Again, I'm guessing the majority of these were caused by well-placed WKU serves that didn't result in aces, but they stressed our defense and we were unable to get the ball over the net.

Shake it off and get ready for the NCAAs. I'm assuming we're going to be a low 2-seed or one of the highest 3 seeds. That means we're going to have a relatively tough first match, but if we advance, we'll likely not be playing against one of the 8 national seeds.
