I'm still confused as to how your scenario is better. It's still better for both teams to have a loss before the SEC title. Makes the committee less likely to send both.

We weren't talking about BOTH teams having a loss before the SEC title. The discussion was about if it was good for Bama to lose or stay undefeated.

Again. If they are going to be in, might as well both be the clear cut 1 and 2 (which I was saying would be the case if Bama/UGA stayed undefeated and the others only loss was in the SEC title game) and let everyone else fight it out for 3 and 4. As I stated before, a 1 or 2 loss (CFP darling) Bama team may take a spot away from a more deserving undefeated or 1 loss team at 3 or 4, and that's how it seems to be shaping up. (and you seemed to agree with above)

That still doesn't make sense. What difference does it make if they are 1 or 2... hell they are 1 and 2 now despite that. I still like that a loss to Auburn could knock Bama out of the playoffs.

Alabama is going to win out till the SEC championship game. So our best hope is that Georgia crushes them in that game. Then a 2-loss Bama (with two ugly losses) might drop enough for UC to overtake them.

Probably...but nothing is guaranteed. You want to get losses on teams.
