Memphis 3pt shooting last year was 20th out of 30 nba teams. Not exactly stellar 3pt shooting and other teams, playoff teams, simply outscore us routinely. We play hard.

The Grizzlies consider Melton as a potential backup to Ja, and it is the main reason Tyus Jones is trade bait. Bane was great last season but we traded away two 3pt threats, and did not pick one up.

You don't have to be a pure PG to give Ja a breather and there are some players we are going to have to trade or let walk.

The only way our 3pt shooting improves this season is if JJJ stays healthy and is on fire, because Adams isn't going to stretch the floor like Jonas could. Ja might become a improved 3pt shooter.

Where we may be improved is defensively. Hopefully DB is not hurt for long and Adams is better defensively than Jonas. The lack of shooters and scoring is going to be our achilles heel this season and in the foreseeable future until we address it. That is not a knock on our players, and it is a fact.
