Same story though, we don't compete well against good teams outside of our conference. The lone exception would be the Louisiana game. I'm not surprised at all we're losing tonight.

Did it rain the entire game? Because the stands were empty on TV all night.

A good part of it.

I mean at a purely technical level there were a few drops of water falling from the sky but I would not say it rained during the game. It very, very lightly sprinkled. It was raining in parts of the metro area (Shelby County) and maybe that kept some people from leaving their house but it was never raining at the game (aside from the downpour before the game that only lasted about 10 minutes) that would've prompted people to leave during

1. Weather sucked
2. Dega Weekend
3. Bama played at 2:30

Yes the stadium looked half full but it was so many people walking around and in the concessions it contributed to the attendance looking bad.

Alabama is always going to play at 2:30 or 6 and if we're depending on Alabama fans showing up then we might as well shut it down. There were more Alabama fans in there with shirts and hats on than I would've expected anyway

Weather was forecast, at least the last time I checked, to be nice. It rained really hard right before the game but during the game it was extremely light sprinkles. It never rained any appreciable amount during the game

This is true about the rain. Anyone exaggerating this fact to make excuses for why our stadium only looked half full is fooling themselves. Thirty-seven thousand people were not in that stadium.

Did walk around the concourse? Did you see all the people watching the game while standing up? Just because people weren’t in their seats doesn’t mean they weren’t at the game.
