"Haven't gotten anything right since WWII"? Really? bluebacker, I hope your anti-U.S. Government rant is just pent-up frustration, exacerbated by an emotional response to this controversial topic. Without posting a list here, I would say OUR GOVERNMENT has gotten WAY MORE right than it got wrong since WWII. Many of the things we got right will never be known to the American public because of the sensitive/secret nature of the information/intelligence. I worked for the U.S. Government for 25 years, even survived a bombing attack by an anti-government extremist, and still think this is the best place to live on the planet. I worked in Europe for three years then lived in Central America for three years after that, and can say many Americans have no idea how good they have it living in God's Country (USA). I do, however, share your frustration with declining morals and a society that is increasingly ignorant of the pitfalls of socialism. I just wish people would vent in a manner that avoids blanket condemnation of the entire U.S. Government, because that's what socialists love.

Nope, this country is on the same level as Ancient Rome less the slaves for decay. My eyes have been opened. Remember I was blind but now I see. There are some that can see but are still blind.

Everyone feels that way when you are young and have no broad experience in the real world. As we get older we see more and more BS. And we start to lose faith about our country and our world. Things happen that really make us doubt. Its as normal and old as the earth itself. Shi* happens, we don't live in Utopia. We just can't lose our minds over it.
