NBA Player Jonathan Isaac Nails CNN on Why They Lied About Joe Rogan

Quote:Who would have thought some of the most compelling public thought we would hear on the subject of vaccine mandates would come from the NBA players?

But it’s true, among them Bradley Beal, Draymond Green, and Jonathan Isaac.

Now Isaac is speaking out further, attacking the media for their “blatant miscarriage of information” surrounding the subject of COVID and the mandates. He’s not against the vaccine; he’s against the mandate.

From Daily Wire:

“It’s not that people should not get the vaccine, that’s not the argument,” Isaac told Fox News on Monday. “It’s that for me there aren’t scientific legal or to me moral grounds for the vaccine mandate. I think when you take into account the nature of COVID and the nature of the vaccine that doesn’t stop infection or transmission, the nature of natural immunity that hasn’t been talked about and then obviously the polarization by the media that has created such distrust.” [….]

“If this thing is just about protecting people and protecting the public health, why does CNN have to lie about Joe Rogan taking ‘horse dewormer,’ or why does the Rolling Stone have to willfully misrepresent my position on the vaccine or COVID?” questioned Isaac. “Why do these things have to happen if it’s just about protecting people?”

Well said. If it were just about public health, they wouldn’t be lying and trying to go after Rogan.

Rogan was given ivermectin by his doctor when he came down with COVID; he didn’t take a “horse dewormer.” Despite that, CNN lied, in multiple reports, claiming he did. They also did not clarify that ivermectin has been prescribed for millions of humans, generally for its anti-parasitic purposes.

CNN completely deceived their audience. When called out on it in an interview with Rogan, Sanjay Gupta didn’t have a good explanation for his network’s lies. Gupta then did an spot with Don Lemon, where Lemon claimed they hadn’t really lied because ivermectin is a horse dewormer, despite the fact that isn’t what Rogan took. After Rogan took ivermectin along with a regimen of other things, he quickly recovered, he said.

Isaac said that it wasn’t just about his own personal choice, but protecting freedoms for everyone. He explained why he hadn’t gotten the vaccine.

“A lot went into my decision for not deciding to get the vaccine,” he told Fox News. “For starters, I have had COVID in the past. I understand our reactions as to immunity natural infection is robust and long-lasting,” he said, adding, “With my current physical fitness level and my age group I don’t feel I’m in a category of fear or of necessarily needing right now to get the vaccine.”

But despite his natural immunity, Isaac said he was not allowed to go to team functions or eat with the team in a restaurant. Yet, as he pointed out, this made little sense as he’s allowed to walk out of the tunnel with them and play in close contact with them on the court.

Isaac previously warned,

“We’re entering a period of time where the government is setting a precedent that in light of any emergency, your personal autonomy, your religious freedom, and honestly your freedom as a whole, becomes negotiable to whoever is in power or whoever agrees with the people in power.”

He continued,

“We live in the land of the free and the home of the brave and we have to take the opportunity and the platform to say what it is that we feel is right, and I’m taking that right to do so, not just for me, but for all the people who feel like they don’t have a voice, who feel like their rights and their liberties are being threatened at this time.”

That’s really what it gets down to. Simple and clear thought, but sorely missing in the public square today from those with big platform from which to speak. Kudos to Isaac for laying it out there and putting himself on the line in the process.

You wouldn’t have to lie about Rogan and force people into it if it wasn’t about control. This isn’t the first time Isaac has stood with clarity over a controversial issue. He refused to kneel or wear a BLM t-shirt when other players did. At the time, he said, “It’s my thought that kneeling or wearing a Black Lives Matter t-shirt don’t go hand-in-hand with supporting black lives.” That says a lot about the courage of the man to stand for what is right.
