Lost in this conversation is the fact that Rice will struggle to have a nationally visible program if it doesn't play two body bag games every season. Those games provide exposure. Recruits also want to play a competitive schedule against big opponents. Those games serve many purposes. How can we beat the big boys if we don't play them?

What Rice needs is a competent AD and head coach. We have neither. Bloomgren is a poor recruiter, and an even worse coach. His players may look great on paper, but they aren't producing once they get here.
