NIU was a 18 point underdog. Their last win before last night was November 2019. Yes, that means their 2020 campaign was winless. And that's not an outlier at this point. 2019 Citadel. 2020 Syracuse. 2021 NIU.

After reading the Homer Rice piece in the AJC, I'm quite pleased and confident that heads will roll immediately if they lose to Kennesaw and heads will roll at the season end if this is another <=4 win campaign.

Syracuse was not an outlier last year...you played us early in the season before a rash of injuries. We played very competitive games against UNC and Pitt the first two weeks last year (had a chance to win each with a few breaks). In September we were mediocre but not horrible 1-10 like. The train wreck happened after GT.

We lost by 17 to a team that finished 1-10. This was a historic loss for GT. If you count NIU in that, we have six of those in C******'s 3 years. We have six wins total.

For the record I count the following as a historic loss under this coach:
2019 Citadel. (P5 should never lose to FCS no matter what)
2019 VT (First shutout at home since the 1950s)
2019 UGA (Worst loss in the series for GT, ever)
2020 Syracuse (17 point loss to a team that finished 1-10)
2020 Clemson (Worst ACC loss in the history of the conference)
2021 NIU? (Ask me again next week)

No one considers that a historic loss because you only won 3 games yourself. Anybody (besides GT fans apparently) looking back will just conclude that one bad p5 team beat another bad p5 team. The average fan is not going to look back at 2020 and think that a 3 win GT was overrated because they lost to a 1 win Syracuse. Seriously?
