Cal and Stanford have also applied. It looks like USC, UCLA, Stanford, Cal, Washington, & Oregon could all end up in the BIG10. Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah are all being considered by the Big12.

I thought the PAC might rebuild with MWC programs, but if all this comes to pass, the PAC may just vote to save themselves some money and dissolve the conference, like the old Southwest Conference did. In that scenario what happens to Oregon State and Washington State?

Probably no way to get that vote through, especially if oregon state and washington state are the only two not negotiating to leave.

I view AZ, ASU, Utah and Colorado as being similar to the "Leftover 8" from the B12. They likely have a lot more pull than you might think... and I find it highly likely that the Leftover 8 would rather associate with the likes of the PAC 12 remnants than they would UCF, Houston or Cinci.

To be clear, this is not a knock on those three schools. They have performed and deserve a "promotion" more than most P5 schools... but I learned my lesson the last time around.

If the B12 could add the leftovers from the PAC12 it would be an interesting conference and one that I hope our old conference mates would do well in (which they would).

I forgot to add that it's almost a near certainty that the ACC expands as well. They will have to in order to survive. I think they will try again to add Notre Dame as full members and then go after Cinci or WVU at least... and don't be surprised if they don't go into TX as well.
