Yes, UConn has been a disaster in football, but they still have value. Ever after walking away from the AAC as the worst football program in America, they were still able to secure national broadcasting for all of their football games. Also, UConn already has a Big12 size athletic budget. And, their basketball would only make the Big12 basketball brand even stronger. UCon brings in a new valuable market. And, they create a closer opponent for West Virginia. I don't think the Big12 will overlook any of those facts.

The weed must be really good in North Texas.

As long as Big 12 keep there name and Oklahoma State, Kansas, Texas Tech and the others that were left over.
