1. They will each receive a pile of money over the next several years as members.
2. They have no place to go because no P4 conference will invite a Big-12 school, not even Kansas.

This means they must start planning for their next contracts. They will invite several schools in an effort to increase value.

Suppose AAC school-A receives an invitation to join the Big-12. What will it do? It will join the Big-12 due to fear it might be left behind in a weakened AAC as other AAC schools accept invitations. Don't get in the way of the stampede.

Once again that would be 5e case normally but this isn’t the leftovers vs AAC. This is the leftovers vs ESPN.
If ESPN has decided to end what’s left of the Big 12 and is going to use the AAC to do it, then any school going into that league would have to take that into account.
Facts the exit fees are going to be split by the leftovers. Any AAC team leaving will have to pay exit fee and give up basketball units. Funny that all those possible additions whether is from AAC or BYU are ALL under ESPN contracts. If ESPN lets them all know that once that contract ends in 2024 they will not bid on it. Do you really gain enough to go into a conference that will be devalued after 2024 and that ESPN will be black balling.
