I just checked five mock 2022 NBA Draft websites and none has Timberlake as a projected first rounder (though Josh Minott is listed as a first-rounder in one of the five).

I'm not saying Earl won't be a starter. I'm just not convinced he is going to a be, say, a top three player for the team. If Timberlake joins Lester, Nolley and Williams as a member of what becomes a "Big Four," the Tigers will be extremely strong.

I believe going into last season he was on several as a potential one and done player but then struggled with injuries and just never got going. I think it really hinges on how healthy he is.


Good point. And any player 1. coming off and injury and 2. entering a new program ... lots of question marks. For those two reasons, I'm not as high on Earl T. as some others on this board are. I hope ET proves me wrong.

If Timberlake can replace what DJ was at the end of last year I will be happy
