RE: Season End Simulations [Upd: Week 7]
There really is no good choice for that 4th playoff team. Georgia makes a few statement wins over Alabama and Oklahoma en route to an undisputed National Championship. The close game vs. Michigan highlights that Michigan is "legit" despite the 2 losses.
NC State shows up vs. Pittsburgh and Penn State for some good games. Cincinnati has 2 losses but gets the opportunity to dethrone in-state Ohio State in another exciting game. An unmotivated Alabama sleepwalks through a loss to Baylor. And, the Pac-12 champ is unranked and outgunned in MSU's first Rose Bowl win since the 80s.
With a 6+6, ASU's upset of Oregon leaves the Pac-12 without a representative, to my surprise. Even ranked #9, Cincinnati claims that #4 spot, to face the winner of Michigan-Coastal, not bad for a 2-loss G5 team. Notre Dame gets the playoff spot they missed in the NY6 due to Baylor's Sugar tie-in.
