If so, would it be wise for Army and the AAC to start talks? I know Army didn't like being part of a conference in the past but a lot of that was due to the league taking part of the TV rev from the Navy game.

It seems highly likely that Army knows by now that anytime they want to take the open 12th spot in the AAC as a FB affiliate and bring the Army / Navy game in conference for the AAC, all they have to do is pick up the phone.

Yup. If Army was interested they would already be a member. The AAC sits at 11 because there is nobody in their footprint who would both clearly add value to the AAC and be willing to join the AAC if invited. That’s why the conference continues to flirt with schools in the west.
