(06-05-2021 01:15 PM)Seahawk Nation 08 Wrote:  Taber Mongero kicked his summer campaign off nicely last night (Friday, June 4) for the Sharks.

Manning 2nd Base in his first game of the summer in an 11-0 road win over the Florence RedWolves, Taber went 2-2 with a walk, 2 RBI and a run scored. In the field he delivered 3 assists and no errors. Mongero is the only Seahawk in the summer leagues to have seen action so far, at least based on Brant's/The Perch's list of known summer participants thus far.

The NECBL season just got underway this week as well. The Valley Baseball League kicks off tonight (Saturday, June 5), the Greater Northeast League begins tomorrow, and the Tidewater League begins on Monday.

Lastly, the Cape Cod League season gets started for Ethan Chenault and the Wareham Gatemen on June 20th.

Mongero is exactly what you want on a team. Dependable hitter who isn't going to go down looking at a strike and solid in the field. He was clutch at the plate and in the filed this season.
