A great diverse schedule as an Indy
3 hour games
Players you followed for 4 years
Laying on the couch listening to the game with my Dad
Attending an occasional live game with my Dad
Outdoor game, 60-70 degree weather and an upset victory
Not learning crap in school that week before a big opponent or better yet a TV game
Things I hated:
A TV game maybe once a year
No replays of games if you missed a game on the radio
Sitting in crumbling Archbold Stadium on a raw, cold day
We never tailgated
Damn you must be old. I can't even remember Syracuse not playing at the Carrier Dome. I had to look up Archbold Stadium, never heard of it before. It did close after I was born so you're not that old.
I was in college when we upset ranked Navy on a glorious, sunny 72 degree day in November, 1978. That was the last game in Archbold Stadium. The wrecking ball came in on Monday and started demolition for the Dome.
