Well, if they had any sense, they'd stop giving their DNA away for free to companies like 23AndMe and AncestryDNA. That DNA isn't going to stay "private" forever.

It isn't private now. They sell your information already.

I never understood why people need to know this stuff anyway.

I mean it's not like people are gonna treat me any different if they find out I'm 10% Irish.

Well, if you have 1/1000th drop of, say, Indian blood, then you can get all kinds of perks.
