Also, if the Tennessee State proposal goes through you have another team.

The "hey look we did a study" schools aren't real. The studies all say the same thing: "if you start a team and fund it, you could be succesful!"

Great, come up with the $30M you need to start a team, or $100M to start a team and build a rink, then we'll talk. Until then, it's ephemera.

@whttx I clicked your link and Liberty contradicts itself by saying both 4k and 3k capacity. Look at pictures of 3-4k seat arenas from around the country though.. no way it seats 4k.

I'd like to see a cost break down on that 30 million number. Does that assume zero revenue? Most non P5 schools that have both hockey and basketball generate more revenue from ticket sales than basketball... it's not really a non revenue sport. Say the programs lose a million a year, is that really much different than other olympic sports that schools offer? Hockey seems to have a much higher standard and that's too bad. You don't see schools adding sports like lacrosse only if they are endowed.. if the cash flow is there like it is for other programs, where does that 30 million go if an arena is in place? I just don't see it and would like to see a cost break down.
