I don’t understand why an expanded playoff would result in 4x16 conferences. Not sure that any realignment implications can be sorted-out at this point.

Maybe I’m naive, but at this point it’s a straightforward due diligence exercise to determine the level of media rights increases from an expanded playoffs. Once the level of financial increases for each playoff scenario have ball-park figures, then competing interests will start developing.
