I will never understand why they didn't put this at the Navy Base and let the military do the vaccinations. They'd be way more efficient.

The military is running it just at a more centrally located address than the remote Millington site would be. This sounds pretty efficient to me!

"Marine division from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and have the ability to vaccinate approximately 3,000 people each day. Scheduled to be open 12 hours a day, seven days a week, that means more than 21,000 people could be vaccinated at the site each week."

I've volunteered several times, believe it or not the city of Memphis (for all their faults) has done an excellent job since they took over.
