I find it hard to believe Lovan will come off the bench for us. Ertel is almost a guarantee in my mind.

That would be my guess at the starting lineup given what is currently on the roster. I don’t think it’s really going to matter a ton though, because we are probably going to have close to ten guys playing 15+ minutes next year. A good coach can explain the starter/non-starter situation away quite easily.(I want you to be our top option off the bench instead of the 4th option among the starters, etc.).

The only issue with that lineup is still a lack of 3 point shooting. Johnson can shoot, but if we're asking him to run PG I wonder how that might impact his shooting effectiveness. You'd bring scoring pop off the bench with Ertel, Brown, and TSG but I wonder if swapping Ertel for Lovan may make more sense. We also had Ertel playing out of position at PG last year. I think moving him off the ball would allow him to be more effective on offense. If we get the Ertel from the last week of the season on a consistent basis I think he has to be the starter at SG. I'd probably go with:

Johnson/Locure
Ertel/Brown/TSG/Toney
Jackson/Lovan/TSG/Toney
Buffen/Ard
Jemison/Gordon
