Question: So can STF sell us as the "NIU Huskies Presented by Purina One" or do we go local as in the "NIU Huskies Presented by Fattys".

I can't believe a publicaly funded university (in essence, property of the state of Michigan) is allowed to legally do this.

While I think it's tacky, what is the difference between that and name on arena, sponsorship all over stadiums and on air ads?

What I think is more of a conflict of interest is allowing beer companies to sponsor collegiate athletics. But no one a has an issue with that when their school gets $ from it.
