We all know he didn’t have the season that he wanted at Kansas (dealt with a back injury, but showed he could contribute against a team like Gonzaga when healthy). It could be a potential game changer for us on a similar caliber as Grimes coming back to Houston 2 years ago.

we were just talking about this on te houston forum... half the aac also recruited him extremely hard (like wichita, smu houston)...
ive heard the "too early" favorites are ok state and tulsa... im sure houston will reach out too

if he lands in tulsa thats a program changing type get ..as you could have him for 2-3 years (4 years eligibility)...and for next season if Rachal is back, added with horne... if you can land just 1 legit center you probably have a ncaa tourney caliber team

I would be astounded if he went to Houston. Like, it’s one thing to go to a big-time program like Kansas in favor of going to your parents alma-mater, but that would be a slap in the face to Tulsa fans and his dad and mom who both were high caliber athletes at Tulsa. I’m not saying you guys aren’t deserving considering your recent success, but it would be a really big heritage shift. Ok State would be annoying but understandable.

Shake Milton spurning Tulsa for SMU was bad, but his family weren’t Tulsa alumns. I can’t even fathom Thompson going to a conference rival.
