What a tangled web, rent money going all over the place. The rental value of a property is tied to its appraised value according to the article. I do love the quote that if Trump isn't doing something wrong he's trying real hard to make it appear as if he is lol

I would think that appraised values are tied to rental values in certain places where there are a lot of unique properties. Square footage in a similar location wont always do it. Properties sitting next to each other might have radically different rental values. Moving rental money around like this not only affects your property taxes to school taxes. Moving rental money outside the jurisdiction it belongs would affect your local taxes. Lots of abuse potential. I suspect that's what they want to look at.
