this is a state court case not a federal case and it’s likely not a criminal case, so jail time, if found guilty, is not likely.

Well, the NYT article is trying to push a tax fraud angle. Are you saying that’s not criminal? If they are saying there are issues with his federal tax return it is certainly a federal case. If they aren’t saying that, why do they want his federal returns?
