The only teams "in" at this point are the first and second place teams from each of the North and South Divisions. After those four guaranteed teams, the other two teams will be chosen "at large". The choices will be made later in the week and nothing is guaranteed about those two slots.

However, since team winning percentage would be used to determine the top two teams in each division, it has been widely assumed that winning percentage would also determine the two at large teams. If that turns out to be the case then the Tribe is in. Another factor that should favor the Tribe is the number of games played. In other sports (particularly football) it was announced that teams that had played more games would get consideration for playoff spots over teams who had played less games. W&M has played 27 conference games and 40 total games. JMU, on the other hand, has played only 15 CAA games and 26 total. The only other contenders for the last spot are Hofstra and Delaware, both with 24 league games (Hofstra has 39 total games and Delaware has 34). So, based on winning percentage, W&M's .417 beats JMU's .400 and the .333 for each of the other two. W&M has played more games than any of them. W&M and JMU split 3-3 on the year so there is no reason to accord JMU any extra weight for that (in fact, W&M split 3-3 with Elon and UNCW also; it was the 1-5 versus CofC that hurt).

So, if W&M does not get in then Jeremy Martin needs to be screaming bloody murder in the ears of Joey D. in Richmond.
