I do feel GCU is hitting on all cylinders right now. All five starters are playing at the top of their game. If GCU is going to make more strides, the added improvement will need to come from the bench.

As we can all see, NMSU is not hitting on all cylinders. Gilyard, Henry, and McCants put up pedestrian performances this weekend. All have played much better in the recent past. Both Rice and Henry haven't gotten into mid-season form yet; both being sidelined with foot injuries for weeks. NMSU just added 4-star Gerald Doakes to the roster and 4-star Marcus Watson has yet to suit up. That changes tomorrow. There were high expectations of Mayan Kiir; but for what ever reason he has remained sidelined. He is an athletic body. NMSU appears to have a 6th starter coming off the bench in Wilfried Likayi. NMSU has a lot upside on this team once Jans get things sorted out. We just need to stay COVID free and healthy the rest of the season.
