I don't think you will see any great collapse of the OVC or for that matter any change in the SoCon lineup. It's possible, even probable, the OVC loses Austin Peay to the ASUN in the few years. But I think it's less likely Murray State moves, as they are basketball centric, and so long as Belmont and Morehead State are around they will stay put. Belmont seems quite happy where they are, and seeing two schools that wanted to emphasize FB over basketball leave, probably doesn't bother them one bit. The Tennessee schools seem solid --TSU even turned down the SWAC-- and there is not sign of interest out there for the likes of SIU-E, Morehead or SEMO.

The SoCon is up the food chain from the likes of the ASUN, OVC and Big South. They might very well like Belmont and perhaps would be interested in Elon should the CAA start disintegrating (already grumbling about their drop in stature, mediocre performance). But there is no pressing need, and Belmont has shown no interest in moving, making this moot.

There is no big pot of gold for schools moving at this level. So there wont be a panic scramble. I predict it get pretty quiet again.
