Nah. The conference is made of universities who want a shot at the tourney. And the conference would rather cash-in the tv money that a tourney will bring. And they will want to have a chance for 3 bids.

If you've seen what Houston has been doing to the bottom feeders, there is little chance they take a bad loss. And a loss to the top half of the conference in the tourney wouldn't impact them.

Yeah, that was bad timing.
I should have said little risk any higher than normal season risk.
Doesn't change the first paragraph though.
I get the convos are happening. But I will be surprised if they get cancelled.
