Dude, just stop. This is referring to the passwords the county controls and has already provided to the senate. It's not for passwords to the proprietary software owned by Dominion who leased them the machines. It's for the password to log onto the machines, to prevent someone...including the vendor...from being able to log into them and either add or change votes. It's also likely referring to the routers and such...so again that unauthorized folks like the vendor can't access them for any reason.

I bet the county officials know the election law better than Cyber Ninjas and will continue to slap them in the face with it, showing their ignorance and incompetence.

There's a section in the document that explains how a certified voting system can be decertified.

If the Secretary of State has reason to believe that a certified voting system is not performing or being utilized in accordance with federal or state law, the Secretary of State may issue an Intent to Decertify the voting system or any component of the system. A.R.S. § 16-442©-(D).

In reaching the preliminary decision to decertify, the Secretary of State may take into account any of the following:
1. Material breach of contract with any Arizona jurisdiction;
2. Submission of a fraudulent, misleading, or otherwise ineligible application for certification or recertification;
3. Installation or use of an unauthorized voting system;
4. Failure to properly function or perform, including perceived security vulnerabilities;
5. Federal decertification by the EAC;
6. Failure to place election equipment source code in escrow and/or failure to authorize the State of Arizona to access or receive the source code; or
7. Failure to continue to meet any requirements for certification.

Per this official Arizona Elections Procedure Manual, source code must be able to be accessed by the State of Arizona.

If that source code is not provided, it is grounds to decertify the equipment.

How do you access source code if it's password protected.

I know you don't want to admit it and I know you'll try to spin it, but the state of Arizona and its forensic investigation team is well within its rights to access that source code.

In fact, Dominion consented to this requirement by submitting a bid for its equipment to be used in Arizona elections.

And I bet just about every other state has a similar stipulation in their official election procedures.

Nobody said the senate could not request the password...but they need to request it from the one who actually has it...and that's Dominion.

Further, Dominion has no issue with providing the password to qualified firms like the two who did the county audit. CN is not qualified to have it. And they've continually shown that with what's transpired so far.
