The 2010s have been good to the ACC
You guys, as ACC fans, probably think of this a lot, but it just occurred to me how good the 2000s, and in particular the 2010s, have been to the ACC in the major sports.
Since 2010, the ACC has won 4 NCAA hoops titles and 3 football national championships. The ACC has won 15 hoops titles overall, so that means that since 2010, the ACC has won 27% of all hoops titles it has ever won.
Heck, the 2000s have been really good to ACC hoops: As of 2000, the ACC had won seven NCAA hoops titles, but has won 8 between 2001 - 2019. That means more than half of all ACC hoops national titles have been won this century. The ACC has already won more NCAA hoops titles in the 21st century than it did in the 61 years of NCAA hoops competition in the 20th century. Astonishingly, the ACC has won 8 basketball titles since the last time the B1G or PAC won it, and the Big 12 has won all of one title during that time. As of 2000, the PAC led all conferences with 15 hoops titles while the ACC had 7. The ACC has now tied the PAC at 15 for the most by any conference.
And with football, as recently as 2010, the ACC had won a total of four AP national football titles. The ACC has won 3 since then, meaning over 40% of all AP football titles have been won since 2010.
If you like national titles, this has been the best decade to be an ACC sports fan.
